**This database only lists the names of the bride & groom and the date of the marriage bond. If you find a marriage of particular interest you should consult the original copy in the clerk’s office at Chatham to check for more information, such as the names of bondsmen and witnesses and, in some cases, a note of permission from a parent/guardian of one or both parties intending marriage.
